"Hello , my name is Cassandra (Pook) Branthoover. I am an Alaska Native artist. I’m grateful that I was able to grow up in such and unique and creative town. I was given the opportunity to learn skills about how to bead the Tlingit way. Here in Sitka, Alaska my mom Cass Pook taught me how to make Tlingit beaded earrings with time, patience and learning how to select colors. I was thankful that she talent my mom who learned it from her grandmother Anne Jacobs. I eagerly watched my mom bead earrings from a young age. She was kind enough to show me the art of using glass beads to create these beautiful flower earrings. I have been creating for about 15 years. I enjoy sharing my art with you." - Cassie
