"I'm a third generation glass and jewelry artist, originally from the Czech Republic. Growing up in a family of artists, art and design have always been a major part of my life. in 2003 while studying glassmaking in Kamenickly Senov, I met a young American glassmaker, Steve Pflipsen, who was studying Czech techniques. We fell in love and married while I finished my studies at the well-known jewelry making school in Jablonec. Seven months later we moved to our home in Western Wisconsin to collaborate in our work. In the fall of 2014 we decided we needed a change of scenery and moved to the most beautiful place I've ever lived, Sitka, Alaska.
I have spent considerable time researching and experimenting to develop the unique soldering and metal working techniques I use today in both my jewelry making and our glass sculptures.
All of my work is made by bending sterling silver wire into "frames" and filling those frames with lead-free soft solder. "
