Scroll down for information about Linda and her work.
Previous owner of the Artist Cove Gallery, Linda has traveled extensively throughout the United States and the world, she considers Sitka, Alaska to be her ideal home. Born in Sonora, Californian in 1963, she was fortunate enough to move to Alaska with my family at the age of six. Living first in Ketchikan, they then moved to Sitka in 1975. Growing up surrounded by the wild beauty of Alaska gave Linda an appreciation for nature's gifts including an interest in gems and minerals.
She personally selects each stone or fossil for the character Linda sees in its unique pattern and color. Antique trade beads, artifacts, and hand crafted glass and metal beads may also be incorporated into a piece of jewelry. Wire sculpting and torch fabrication are two techniques she uses to create jewelry. All jewelry is crafted with Argentium sterling silver or 14K gold-filled wire. In the summer of 2018, for a change of scenery and a little adventure, Linda decided to retire and move to Costa Rica to work on her autobiography, work with rescue animals while continuing to create beautiful stone jewelry.
